About Hickory Ridge Trails:

Initial development of the Hickory Ridge Nordic ski and mountain bike trails began in 1989 by ski enthusiast and strong support from the Chippewa County Forest and Parks Department. Over the last 30 plus years with continuing support of Chippewa County and thousands of volunteer hours, over 16 miles of Nordic ski and 20 miles of mountain (fat winter) bike trails were built. Today Hickory Ridge Trail offers users an incredible opportunity to explore the rolling terrain along kettle lakes in the Chippewa County Forest.

Enjoy the trail year round on out mountain bike, fat tire bike and cross country ski trails.

Friends of Hickory Ridge Trail (FOHRT) is a 501c3 nonprofit that has its origins dating back to 1987 when a group of local cross-country skiers partnered with the Chippewa County Forestry Department. We support Hickory Ridge year around maintaining summer singletrack and winter grooming ski trails (classic and skate), fat bike and snowshoe.
